This page could be called "All That You Can't Download", I don't really have much here for you to
download (just some midis) as I don't know what breaches copyright or whatever and I don't want to get
into trouble for it. :) I've liked U2 since I was 11 (that was in 1989 so you work out how old I am)
and have been a fan since I was 14. My sister and I have all the albums. I've got all the videos except
for The Unforgettable Fire and Best of 1980 - 1990.
We (Deathbringer, my sister, and myself) went
to the Popmart concert when it came to Perth, Western Australia on 17/2/98, and it went off! I'd have
to say it was the best night of my life. If you've got Duke Nukem 3D, you should check out the Popmart
level that I've made. Well, I've rambled on for long enough, have a look around.

Name: Larry Mullen Jr. Instrument: Drums Larry formed the band in 1976. He posted an advertisment
at his school about forming a band. His mother bought his first drum kit for him for 35 pounds.
|

Name: Adam Clayton Instrument: Bass Guitar Adam was notorious at school for being a rebel.
He was kicked out of the school for streaking down the hallways. Adam wore wild clothes and Larry thought
that he'd be really cool to have in the band. Adam posed in a full frontal nude shot on the inside sleeve
of their 1991 album, Achtung Baby.

Name: Dave Evans (aka The Edge) Instrument: Lead Guitar The Edge joined up with the band in
the very early days with a guitar that he had built with his brother. Bono had given Dave the nickname
'The Edge' because of his promenant chin.
|

Name: Paul Hewson (aka Bono) Instrument: Lead vocals, guitar, harmonica Bono's mother died
from a brain hemorage at her father's funeral when Bono was only 14. He was known at school for being
a rebel after this, as he was very close to his mother. The song 'Mofo' goes into this quite a bit. Bono
joined up with the band while still at school, and was almost kicked out of the band because at that
time he couldn't sing. He adopted the name 'Bono Vox', meaning 'Good voice'. Apparently this was from
a sign in the window of a hearing aid shop! Bono has gone through many personas in the last ten or so
years. Rattle and Hum's blues singer, Achtung Baby's The Fly (with greased back hair, black leather gear,
and huge Fly glasses), The Mirrorball Man (a rock and roll TV evangalist in a silver suit), Zooropa's
gold suit wearing devil, MacPhisto (MePhisto meets McDonalds), and Pop's homeboy, complete with black
hood and scat singing.

Best of 1980 - 1990 lost half a star because Where The Streets Have No Name (possibly the
best of the best) was shortened by one minute!
|

There are rumours that U2 will release another Best Of CD, this time 1990 - 2000. The new U2 tour
kicked off in Miami during March 2001 (with any luck they'll come back to Perth).

U2 now has a real official site at U2.com. There are some short MP3's from their new
album, video clips, pics, info, history and more.

@U2.com is a very good U2 site that I would recommend. It contains lots of pics, info,
news, sounds, history and more.
